About vCendol TechFriday

vCendol TechFriday! is a monthly meet up for all VMware enthusiasts to gather, network, and learn from each other on how each use VMware products and solutions to answer real IT challenges and even helping their companies achieve business goals. It will be held every first Friday of the month with a specific topic to discuss. It will be an after-office-hour-brown-bag-meet-up, so you may want to bring your own dinner, and more importantly your thinking hat to collaborate. Let's vCendol!

Why call it vCendol?

As some of you may know that there’s a vBeer session used in other countries to call a meet up discussing VMware technologies which we, here in Indonesia, long long time ago adopted it as vCendol to suit local culture.

The meet up

Each vCendol TechFriday! will normally consists of two session. The first session will go deep on the widely adopted VMware technologies in the form of, but not limited to, best practices, straighten misconception, why and how, and design guide. We might also have a session from VMware customer which will share about their approach, lesson learned, or use cases in their environment.

Session two will be mind opener as it will talk about new raising technologies, operational transformation, change of expectation from IT user, and approaches we can take by using VMware solution.

Expect that after each meet up you'll go back with new ideas on something that you want to try at your place.

When?

Every first Friday of the month 18.30-21.00. You may find the next vCendol TechFriday! on the Schedule page.

Where?

The default location will be in VMware Indonesia office which located at 7th floor of The Plaza Office Tower. It is located in central Jakarta and can be easily reachable by public transportation such as MRT, TransJakarta, or even by KRL CommuterLine. If you want to drive yourself, then The Plaza Office Tower is located next to two large shopping centers in Jakarta: Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia where you can park and ease your tummy before joining the meet up. Please note motorcycle parking only available at Grand Indonesia.

How to Attend?

You may find the registration information for each vCendol TechFriday! on the corresponding invitation page. Check for the next meet up here. Please note that we only have capacity to cater 30 pax. If you already registered but than cannot attend, be considerate to other by releasing your seat, as early as possible. Somebody else might be next in the waiting list. 😁

During the meet up, do come on time, bring your thinking hat, respect other, and discuss respectfully.

What if I want to be speaker?

It will be greatly appreciated. Please do drop us a note using the Contact Form, or talk to us during the meet up. Of course we will need session topic which align with vCendol TechFriday! mission.
